高原 Plateau

高原 PLATEAU

THE SWISS ARMY KNIFE OF KITCHEN accessories
瑞士军刀的厨房配件

In partnership with the largest cabinetry manufacturer in China, Oppein. This project garners an ambitious vision and design brief through the product appropriately named, Plateau or 高原, a modular kitchen accessory system designed for the Chinese market.

seamless integration
无缝整合

Plateau is designed to perfectly match the Chinese kitchen lifestyle, it is not uncommon for a kitchen to become cluttered with items and thus disorganised. Especially with items that are used or needed the most, one such solution is to keep them all on the countertop but this creates an unsightly mess, Plateau solves this by integrating the already existing culture with a more streamline solution.

beyond functional
超越功能

Instead of designing several individual accessories that the kitchen would otherwise require, plateau creates an all encompassing, all in one solution for the users needs. Everything from general storage to dish racks. Providing ease of access to items that are used the most.

Incomparable modularity
无与伦比的模块化

As an all in one solution, the product gives the user the ability to pick and choose from multiple accessories for which they may require to fit in one housing also with the possibility of moving the accessories around to suit the user. Although the proposed design has a set of accessories already. The possibility for adaption of further accessory designs are endless.

Multiple Configurations
两种配置

The design and manufacturing of Plateau allows itself to fit and adapt to any kitchen, wether it be behind a counter or embedded in an island.

Tailored Fit
量身定做

Manufacturable up to five meters, the product can be tailored fit to suit any kitchen, for whatever requirements the user may need or choose.
